Time to be kind, time to play

I never thought I would miss Covid. Then Russia invaded Ukraine and I woke up thinking did Covid delayed the war?

For the past 10 years, I've been working on identity to explore our relationship to gender, race, equity and inclusion with people from various backgrounds, cultures and countries. I wanted to understand what strategies we could put in place to end the consequences of patriarchy including racism, sexism and war. What I discovered is how patriarchy separates us, isolates us, alienates us to the point that we want to destroy each other. What I also discovered is how human being are deeply creative and when we can not create to build with others, it can be deeply destructive.

We urgently need to grow kindness. We, the people, need to learn how to seriously develop, organize and practice kindness : not to "please" others but to bring an alternative to what the world is offering us right now, to create virtuous circles of creativity, collaboration, innovation and defy the vicious circle of fear, isolation, hopelessness.

How do we do it? We play.
