Meet Aurélie Harp

We the people are extra-ordinary. We can make magic. When we give ourselves permission to create and play with others, we practice how to perform something new with others in the most ordinary way. We create our becoming, our humanity. Playing together help us take the drama away from life and it adds sparks of joy.

Less drama, more theater!

More about play

Welcome to my coaching practice, Womanity Play.

I bring over 20 years of experience as a certified coach, stage builder, and cultural activist. My expertise lies in social and creative coaching, cultural leadership, and transformation, focusing on social therapeutic practices and theater. I help individuals and organizations harness the power of play to foster new possibilities in human development, emphasizing creativity, collaboration, and relationship-building.

Yes, play! I view people as creators, performers, and builders of their own lives. Through storytelling, theater techniques, movement, applied improvisation, and social therapeutic approaches, I challenge cultural and philosophical assumptions, enabling us to craft the stages and tools we need for personal and collective growth. In the process, we create joy!

My personal and professional journey has been shaped by play and improvisation.

I was born in Lyon, France and knew from the beginning that one day I would live in New York. I first moved to Paris where I combined the life of a student and actor. I travelled to South-East Asia to teach French and acting while completing a master in Research & Marketing at Science-Po Paris. Over the years, I gained valuable experience working in top advertising agencies across Paris, London, and eventually New York City.

…New York! When I arrived in NYC, I was captivated by its diversity, creativity and boundless possibilities. Yet, I also became acutely aware of the divisions that separate people based on gender, race, wealth, and more. From that grew a desire and an urge: Explore with people our relationship with “identity” as a social construct and how it shapes our existence and development as humans.

My passion for films and theater led me to acting, improvisation, writing, directing and coaching. In addition to Womanity Play, I co-founded Womanity Project, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity, especially among youth and LGBTQ+. I am also a founding member of The Global Play Brigade, an international community fostering play, connection, and growth, particularly in response to the challenges posed by the pandemic. As an Associate and staff member of the East Side Institute, I continue to contribute to the advancement of social therapeutic practices. My latest play “The Old” is ready to be played.

As an ICF ACC-certified coach and graduate of the Social Therapeutic Coaching program at the East Side Institute. I have interviewed & coached hundreds of people (individuals & organizations). I love coaching individuals & groups, specifically when it relates to relationship building, creativity and cultural transformation. In my sessions, we improvise together to build new stages in our lives.

Play and art are the creative tools we have to transform our culture and create new possibilities for human connection and development.

Welcome to the heart of Womanity Play.
