To be produced in London: BANC PUBLIC/ PARK BENCH
The Story
Robert Martini is bored with his life and going through a mid-life crisis. His safety valve is a park bench where he
has breakfast every morning between eight and eight-thirty am. Rachel is a bum who happens to show up on the bench next to
his one morning. they have nothing in common; not the way they look, speak or think. A song will seal their
fate. Forced to share a limited space, they fight for their territory. In the process, they realize that they are driven by
the same sense of rebellion and need to survive. Little by little, they share their fears and secrets, recover their dignity
and give each other the strength to face their own lives.
What happens next? That is the story…
